I returned to Campoamor in February and this time to play golf. There are three golf courses within 5 minutes of the villa. My favourite course is the Las Ramblas, an incredible course like no other course. The course was designed by Pepe Gancedo in1990, is 4761 meters long and par 71. It is set in a steep terrain surrounded by water hazards. The vigorous vegetation surrounding the course is formed primarily of leafy Mediterranean pines that create an unforgettable backdrop for the course. Furthermore, Las Ramblas golf course offers Magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea from many locations. The vegetation provides shade even in the warmer summer months.
The challenge is to propel the ball over a series of gorges and ravines. The fourth hole is a particular challenge with the fairways at two levels and the green at the third level, each separated by a gorge. I have now learned to play this hole. The aim is to get a good drive then use a 4 iron or 5 wood into the second fairway which is at a lower level. The green can be approached with a wedge or 9 iron. The ninth poses a different challenge this a 296 meters par 4, dog leg to the left. The big hitter may try to hit over the water to reach the green in one or play safe using an iron to put the ball on the fairway and approach the green with a 7 iron.
I first play the course as a high handicapper and enjoyed the challenge. Take plenty of balls you will need them. You may be able to buy your ball back because a chap sells the balls that he picks from the gorges on the 5 tee. The course is also good value costing € 43. In February it cost only€ 35.
I should say only that its awesome! The blog is informational and always produce amazing things. golf rangefinder reviews
ReplyDeleteFor the middle of winter these were the best greens that I have played on in the Las Vegas. Play was a little slow, no ranger present, but the weather was great and the staff was awesome.lasergolfrangefinder.com
